An Initiative to Help End Bullying
Woodgrove Centre, in partnership with Shaw Communications and Post-it Brand, trademark of 3M, invite you to get involved by making a promise for kindness with #PinkShirtPromise. For every promise of kindness posted, Woodgrove Centre donated $1 to United Way Central and Northern Vancouver Island (maximum $5,000 donation) to help support programs to end bullying in our communities.
Did you know that bullying affects people of all age groups, backgrounds and genders online, at school or at work? Forty percent of Canadian workers experience bullying on a weekly basis, and 47% of Canadian parents report having a child victim of bullying. Let's stand up together to help end bullying.
From February 17 to 24, 2016 a Post-it Pink wall was displayed in Woodgrove Centre by the food court. For every promise of kindness posted on the wall, Woodgrove Centre donated $1 to UWCNVI (maximum $5,000 donation) to help support programs to end bullying in our communities. A total of 2,468 promises of kindness were made and Woodgrove Centre donated $2,468 to United Way! Thank you for everyone who helped make this happen! Click here to see some event photos!
